Carpet Cleaning
When it comes to cleaning your carpet, we believe that no step should be left out in the process.
Your steps for cleaning carpets
- Pre-inspection
We will do a walkthrough with you to see the scope of the job, including carpet type and construction, carpet history, soil level and any potential problem spots. We discuss what you would like done and address any concerns or questions you may have. If you know of any spots and can help in identifying them, please let the technician know as this will greatly help in selecting the spot removal system to be used. At this time, it will also be possible to provide the customer with an accurate price for cleaning their carpets. - Furniture Moving/ Set up
Please make sure to have small items and Knick knacks picked up and moved from the cleaning area before we arrive. This includes any breakable items on or in any furniture you would like moved or cleaned under. Furniture will be put back on tabs or blocks and these need to stay in place until the carpet is completely dry. Any large furniture like beds and china cabinets will not be moved but we will do our best to clean under or around them. Larger furniture can be moved at an extra cost, please let the technician know this during walkthrough. We will also lay down runners or corner guards to protect any hard surfaces we may have to walk on. - Pre-vacuum
We will vacuum to remove as much dry soil as possible with a powerful commercial rated vacuum. This is one of the most important steps in the cleaning process. This will include going around the edge of the baseboard with a crevice tool. - Apply cleaning solution/ spot application
The appropriate pre-spray will be selected for the job and will be applied to help break down soils and spots in the carpet. Potentially difficult spots will be pretreated at this time to increase chances of removal. - Agitate
Using either a carpet rake or powerful CRB (counter rotating brush) machine, we will agitate the cleaning solution into the carpet to help promote soil removal and suspension away from the carpet fibers. The cleaning solution will then be left in the carpet for approximately 10-20 minutes time to let it "work its magic" to achieve the best cleaning results. - Hot water extraction and rinse
Once the cleaning solution has had time to dwell, we will use our hot water extraction system (either truck mount or portable unit with a rinse to remove the cleaning solution, and any soil or previous cleaners used. This will help bring the carpet to a more neutral pH and leave the carpet soft and fresh. - Post Spot Treatment
Any spots that did not get removed with the regular cleaning process will now be addressed at this time with special treatment and techniques.
Please note: some stains and damage are permanent and may not be able to be removed by any cleaning method. - Post Grooming
After the extraction, we will groom the carpet to set the pile in an even direction and to promote drying. If you would like the shark teeth pattern left in the carpet or a carpet protector (like scotchgard) applied, please let the technician know ahead of time. - Speed Dry
As we go through the house cleaning we will do our best to utilise our fans to promote drying times, so you can get back on your carpet sooner. As cleaning progresses through the house, fans are set up in completed areas to help speed up drying times. - Post walk-through
After the job is complete, the technician will complete a walk-through with you and show you the cleaning results to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the job. If you have any concerns or questions, please let us know at this time so we can address them and ensure that you are fully satisfied before we leave.
